This breeding is very special in our hearts as it takes us back on both sides (3rd generation) of the puppy pedigree to a Great Golden from Amigold Kennels in TX named Sabre (Am. CH. Amigold On A Wing N A Prayer CD MH WCX *** VCX OS DDHF).  At this time he is still the only Golden in 38 years to have an Am CH and All Age Field Trial points.

The puppy pedigree also combines two outstanding field dogs (both GRCA Outstanding Sires) -  NDC NMFR Red River Ruckus *** MH OS “Red” and Neversink’s Road To Belvedere MH CCA *** OS “Trooper” PLUS two multiple venue titled GRCA Outstanding Dams - Likah & Annie (both Sabre daughters).  Likah is a very strong hunting companion plus a Canadian Tracking Champion (the only golden in Canada to pass back to back UTDX tests which are like VST) and Annie is a HRCH UH MH giving us a very strong working/ hunting female line on both sides of the pedigree.

The "First" Litter

BORN MAY 27, 2016

4 GIRLS, 1 BOY!

Aspen is from the Brewster Litter (Rio Ranch Goldens) and is a full sibling to our dogs Barley & Z.  She lives with Les Diven outside of Tulsa, OK on a ranch and is co-owned with Donna.  Les fell in love with her older brother Z and just had to have one of the puppies from the repeat litter.  He couldn’t be happier with his hunting buddy and best friend -- they have a very close bond and relationship.  Aspen is a very easy dog to live with in the house and accompanies Les and the other dogs on the ranch doing chores.  She is a very focused field dog, runs effortlessly and has strong water courage with a flying water entry.  She is a very good marking dog and has a fast bird pick up.   Aspen’s field basics, Junior Hunt and Senior Hunt titles were earned when she was training with John & Nancy Miner-High Times Goldens in Sheridan, Illinois.  John and Nancy were confident she could easily go on to obtain a Master Hunt title, but the separation was hard on both Les & Aspen, so she continues her field journey at home as Les’ hunting buddy.

We are very excited to have the opportunity to breed her to Tucker and co-raise the litter with Les.

Aspen has a very quiet and sweet demeanour, loves to hang out and earn a pat, cuddle or treat.  She has a wonderful temperament, gets along well with other dogs, horses and was an easy keeper when she visited us for a few days- playful and polite with all our dogs.

Aspen stands 21.5” at the withers and weighs 60 lbs.  She has very athletic, balanced structure and moves / jumps effortlessly.  Her coat is gold with blonde feathering, slight wave and sheds dirt, burs and water quickly.  Aspen has a rock solid topline with no roll, good length of neck, strong front, and good tail set & carriage.  She has a very pleasing feminine head with good ear set, dark eye, good pigment, scissors bite and full dentition.  Her expression alone can tell you the story.

Rio Ranch Coors Aspen Edge SH WC

Co-Owned by Les Diven & Donna Todd

We expect these puppies to be very focused and serious workers who will be at home in the field, agility arena, or obedience ring, as well as on the couch for family time.   Proven working/hunting/performance homes will have first preference for one of these pups.

Experienced hunting/hunt test/performance homes will be given preference for these puppies.

We DO NOT ship puppies on their own.  All new prospective puppy parents must make arrangements to pick up their puppy in Wylie, TX (30 miles Northeast of Dallas).  All pups are raised in our home using the Avidog System with early neurological stimulation between 3 - 17 days, followed by socialization with children, adults, and other dogs.  They will be introduced to birds, starter pistols, collars, leashes, crates, sherpa bags, puppy agility obstacles, water, puppy walks, clicker training, and whistle commands.  They will be naturally weaned by the dam.

HRCH UH Gallo Gold Classic Sensation CCA WC MH **

Tucker has truly lived up to his Gallo Gold Classic Sensation name.  A gentle sweetheart with classic golden instincts to please along with the drive and intensity of a sensational field retriever.  He is an excellent marker, loves the water, a real team player, handles great on blinds and has excellent line manners.

Tucker is from a (Gallo Gold) Annie and (RockErin) Red litter that gave us conformation, intelligence, determination and a wonderful temperament.  He is well balanced and athletic, medium gold color, strong topline and very nice fore chest. Tucker weighs about 65-70 pounds and stands 23” at the withers.

At home Tucker just loves to hang out, play with our three other goldens and wait for a belly scratch.  He’s friendly with everyone –dogs and people alike.  One of his most striking distinctions is what a methodical thinker he is.  This shows in his field work as well as in his favorite pastime, watching TV.

As an amateur trainer it has been my pleasure and joy to work with Tucker.  His mother, Annie, was my first golden to start seriously training and took her to the level of AKC Master Hunter and UKC Hunting Retriever Champion with over 500 points.  I also train Tucker’s sibling Kendall (AKC MH & UKC HRCH) and her 18 month offspring Casey (AKC JH.)

At a young age, Tucker went 4 for 4 to earn his JH and also his SH title.  Since then he has earned his:

  • AKC – Master Hunter title
  • UKC (HRC) Hunting Retriever Champion and (UH) Upland Hunter titles
  • Attained a JAM at the 2013 Golden Retriever National Qualifying stakes
  • Qualified for the 2015 Master National

Tucker also has his CCA – Certificate of Conformation.  Whether at home or in the field, Tucker is a very special member of our family.
